Day 2 Collaboration, Interactive video, Dialogue Cards
Interactive video
An HTML5-based interactive video content type allowing users to add multiple choice and fill in the blank questions, pop-up text and other types of interactions to their videos using only a web browser. Make your videos more engaging with H5P and interactive video in publishing systems like Canvas, Brightspace, Blackboard, Moodle and WordPress.
When to use
Interactive videos are perfect when you already have a video clip that you want to enrich with interactive elements.
You can facilitate differentiated learning by adding in-depth information such as pictures, tables, text and links that the learner can interact with during video playback.
Include puzzles for the learners to solve at any given time in the video by adding Multichoice questions, Fill in the blanks, Drag and drop questions and Summaries.
Dialog cards
A free HTML5 based content type allowing authors to create great language learning resources with H5P in publishing systems like Canvas, Brightspace, Blackboard, Moodle and WordPress.
When to use
Dialog cards can be used as a drill to help learners memorize words, expressions or sentences. Dialog cards provide a prompt on one side of the card, and a corresponding answer on the other side.
Dialog cards are often used in language learning for drilling words and expressions. Dialog cards can also be used to present math problems or help learners remembering facts such as historical events, formulas or names.
Use the template "Interactive video" and/or "Dialogue cards" you will find in your individual course in Playground zone and prepare material on a specific topic of your choice.
Basic: Enrich your video with a minimum 3 different interactive elements. Consider the different options of the behavioral settings of each of the elements and choose the appropriate one for a specific pedagogical goal. Using the audio recorder, prepare a set of dialog cards. Set tips for some of them and try different behavioral settings according your pedagogical needs.
Advanced: Using the capabilities of the platform, make your settings for Restrict access and Activity completion. (optional)
